FICAP session at the Flanders International Business Summit 2024 

Innovative solutions for climate action in the Global South 

The Flanders International Business Summit brings together key players from various sectors involved in international business through an innovative and unique ecosystem-focused networking and knowledge-sharing concept. 

On 5 November 2024, G-STIC hosted an info session on the Flanders International Climate Action Programme (FICAP) during the Flanders International Business Summit. 

During this session, Imane Benamar (Turbulent), Jacob Bossaer (BOSAQ) and Marc Indigne (Kytos) shared inspiring experiences about how their innovative solutions contribute to climate action in the Global South. They presented insights from their climate projects, supported by the Government of Flanders through the Flanders International Climate Action Programme. In the panel discussion, moderated by Dietrich Van der Weken (G-STIC), the opportunities and challenges in implementing such projects were explored in greater depth. The discussion also emphasized the importance of deploying technological solutions in the Global South. 

This session offered the participants a unique opportunity to learn from international success stories and gain valuable insights into the challenges associated with implementing innovation in the Global South.
