LOOKING BACK AT THE PAST EVENTS
Minister Depraetere at COP29 in dialogue with organizations active within FICAP
During COP29, a meeting was organized with Minister Depraetere and several Flemish organizations active within the Flanders International Climate Action Programme (FICAP). Inge Vandevyvere (VVOB), Karolien Casaer-Diez (CO2Logic), Vanessa Thompson (Join For Water), and Maarten Pelgrims (VITO) shared their experiences with this unique programme and their vision for the future. This meeting provided Minister Depraetere with valuable insights into the impact and potential of Flemish projects within FICAP.
Workshop “Innovations for the SDGs” during the SDG Forum 2024
On 6 November 2024, G-STIC organized the workshop "Innovations for the SDGs: Demonstrating sustainable technologies in developing countries" during the SDG Forum. During this workshop, it was demonstrated how various stakeholders from diverse sectors can collaborate to implement sustainable solutions in the Global South. FICAP session at the Flanders International Business Summit 2024
During the Flanders International Business Summit G-STIC hosted on 5 November 2024 an info session on the Flanders International Climate Action Programme (FICAP). During this session, Imane Benamar (Turbulent), Jacob Bossaer (BOSAQ) and Marc Indigne (Kytos) shared inspiring experiences about how their innovative solutions contribute to climate action in the Global South.
Looking back at the successful launch of the learning network
On 24 September 2024, the learning network of the Flanders International Climate Action Programme was launched. More than 70 experts from various sectors took part in interactive sessions exploring a variety of themes: carbon credits and markets, sustainable agroforestry, on nature-based solutions, off-grid energy systems and public-private partnerships.
